Leading Organic Growth

The most profitable growth of any company is predominantly organic growth - initiatives that focus on bringing innovation in the form of new products and services, identifying opportunities for existing offerings in new markets, or generating more revenue from existing offerings from current customers.

But organic growth is neither easy nor risk-free.  To ensure that growth initiatives do not miss their targets employees at all levels must possess the key competencies to orchestrate organic growth.

Our research and experience have helped us to identify the critical behaviors, skills, and attitudes that drive robust, profitable organic growth.  We help organizations instill these capabilities in their people and culture to drive growth.

How we have helped a client to drive organic growth

The senior management team from a large energy company set out to re-ignite profit growth in business units experiencing flat sales.  Forum and the energy company determined the core leadership competencies necessary to drive the organization's desired financial growth.  Together we developed a multi-part learning experience for senior and mid-level leaders that directly tied their work to these competencies.  Senior managers stayed involved throughout the initiative by sharing knowledge, offering support, and challenging participants.

As a result of this work, leaders credited the program with helping improve business processes, increase customer satisfaction, and boost revenue.  The return on training dollars was estimated at 265 percent, and the company met its 5-year financial objectives in 4 years.
