Facilitator

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Independent Contractor, responsible for the facilitation of standard, tailored, or customized training solutions as part of a larger organizational, transformational change effort.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand the objectives of the training program and overall client engagement
  • Research information about the client's business, issues, and participants
  • Handle group dynamics to direct the flow of discussions towards learning objectives
  • Link business issues to personal on-the-job experiences
  • Establish a sense of direction and closure by previews and summaries for participant programs
  • Co-ordinate with Forum and client support staff to ensure that all materials and logistics are in place for the timely delivery of programs
  • Administer evaluations and report feedback to the appropriate people
  • Debrief with Forum Project Leader and Client Director-business issues/opportunities, program effectiveness, and other feedback as necessary


QUALIFICATIONS:

Commercial Experience: 

Essential to have at least 10 years of business experience with line experience in either a sales, leadership, or service position.  Experience in more than one company desired.

Industry Experience: 

Essential to have broad and specific business and industry knowledge.  Key industries include:

  • Financial Services
  • Professional Services
  • Manufacturing
  • Hospitality
  • Government
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Retail
  • Hi-Tech
  • Healthcare

Forum Insight and Content Knowledge:

Knowledge and understanding of Forum's research and content. Knowledge of program content associated with Forum's areas of expertise, that is, leadership, sales and customer service.Ongoing commitment to learning in one or more of these areas.

Behavioral Competencies: 

Articulate, creative, dynamic, engaging, intuitive, organized, excellent listening and communication skills, self-confident, strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, diplomatic, continuous and quick learner, customer-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic when required, results-oriented, adaptive.

Facilitation skills: 

At least 5 years experience facilitating multiple-day programs to a broad range of audiences.  Excellent reputation as a dynamic and engaging facilitator.

Technical Skills: 

PC literate, including PowerPoint.  Must own or have access to a laptop computer for deliveries.

Education:  BA/BS essential; Advanced degree or certifications desirable.

Language capability: 

Capability to deliver in a second or multiple languages a bonus.

International experience desirable.
